All that farm-fresh air has likely made you hungry, and hopefully, thirsty. Just a few plots down you’ll find Barnside Brewery, one of Delta’s premier stops on the South of the Fraser BC Ale Trail. Barnside is a unique microbrewery because it’s rooted in glass-to-table beer production. While sipping your tasting flight, you’ll be in earshot of their proprietary hops grown on-site and fields of cranberries that are key to their seasonal treat, Cranberry Tart Ale. They offer a delicious sharing, snacking, and lunch & brunch menu inside or on their newly, quite cozy, covered dog-friendly patio. Be sure to fill up a growler keepsake for home!

3. Deas Island
Time to walk off your brewery indulgence riverside. Just across the highway is one of Delta’s regional parks, Deas Island. Home to Delta’s Rowing Club, it offers a scenic, easy walking trail alongside the Fraser River with lookouts to climb for bird spotting, wildlife, and fishing boat watching.
Did you know you can also paddle these waterways? In fact, there is loads to discover from ol’ shipwrecks to watery laneways. Launch your kayak or SUP and make an extended afternoon of it, and paddle to RiverHouse Restaurant, arriving by dock for your patio lunch.
