Some rides take you somewhere. This one takes you through everything.
Delta’s Barns to Beaches bike route spans 16km, pedaling through Ladner’s farmland and Tsawwassen shorelines and beaches. Prepare to pass quintessential red-roofed barns, quiet dyke trails, and a shoreline that thousands of migrating birds call a rest stop. It’s flat, it’s easy, and it’s the kind of ride you do slowly, on purpose.
And it’s all just a short drive from downtown Vancouver.
The Route
Where to Stop Along the Way
📍Barnside Brewing – cold pints, warm barnwood, and a patio gazing over hop fields that contribute to the very beer you’re sipping, along with a delightful local-ingredient infused menu of snacks and mains.
📍Boundary Bay – part of the Pacific Flyway, one of the busiest bird migration corridors on the continent. Keep your eyes up as herons and raptors are regulars, and depending on the season, you might catch tens of thousands of shorebirds moving through at once.
📍Centennial Beach – take in expansive shoreline views while enjoying pub-like fish & chips at High Tide Social, open daily throughout summer.
📍Southlands, Tsawwassen – the pace softens even more here. Farm-to-table stops and the Four Winds Beach House Brewery make this the natural place to linger over craft brews, or perhaps it’s a refresh of the ice cream kind at Cookies.
