Ladner is lucky to have two locally owned and operated breweries within close proximity not only to each other but to two of Delta’s most extensive bike trail systems- the Millennium Trail and the Boundary Bay Dyke. It’s our budding Delta Ale Trail, and enjoying it by bike also allows you to enjoy the brews at each stop safely.
You can start your bike & brew adventure from Tsawwassen, following the Boundary Bay Dyke Trail up to the 64th Street exit (it’s the first exit off the trail past the iron gate). If needed, you can find information on the start of that trail, via our Boundary Bay Dyke itinerary here. Or, come at it from the east via the Mud Bay parking lot access point, again existing at 64th (which in this case, would be just before you hit the iron gate). From the 64th Street exit, you’re well on your way into East Ladner towards Four Winds Brewing and Barnside Brewery. Remember to expect working farm traffic while on these farm roads – both tractors and large trucks. You’ll continue on this road, following 64th Street across Ladner Trunk Road, across an overpass and underpass, and continue on until you hit 60th.
1. Barnside Brewery
Barnside is owned and operated by four long-standing Ladner farming families who have a passion for Delta soil, and craft beer. Their seasonal beers often contain locally sourced fresh ingredients, like Delta cranberries, Ladner honey, and of course, it’s all brewed with their proprietary hops all grown on-site. In fact, with a seat on their patio, you can look straight across the street to view the vine hops while you sip away your tasting flight.
Roll back on to 60th Avenue, head left, taking 68th Street to River Road , turn right, and you’re at Tilbury.
2. Four Winds Brewery
Locally owned and operated by the Mills family, Four Winds came onto the craft scene in 2013. With many national and international awards banked, they continue to produce West Coast and European brews alongside a menu that would impress any culinary master – seriously, try the tacos!

3. Britannia Brewing
Smack in the middle of Ladner Village, you’ll find Britannia Brewing, an offshoot of their original Steveston location. New to Ladner as of spring 2021, they offer refreshing pints alongside their famous fish & chips, Koren Fried Cauliflower & more, served up in a funky indoor dining space, or sunny back patio.
