Whether you’re a visitor rolling off the ferry in Tsawwassen, cycling the Millennial Trail through Ladner, or a North Delta local looking for a new happy hour spot, here are ten patios that capture what makes Delta, Delta – farm-fresh, waterfront, and refreshingly unpretentious.
1. Barnside Brewing Co. – East Ladner
You’ll find Barnside tucked into the farmland along 60th Avenue, in a repurposed barn built with century-old beams gathered from heritage structures around Delta. It’s one of BC’s first true farm-based breweries, founded by four long-standing Delta farm families, and the patio looks straight out over the hop yards and cranberry fields the beer is actually made from. Order a flight, grab the pretzel with dill dip, and settle in at a picnic table while the hops that’ll be in next season’s pint grow right across the road. It’s a four-season, heated patio, so this one works even when the coast gets grey.
Vibe: Rustic, agri-tourism, dog-friendly, cyclist pit stop.
2. RiverHouse Restaurant & Pub — Ladner
We’ll consider RiverHouse a tie for first, as owning top spot really comes down to your view and vibe preference – waterfront or farmside. Since 1997, RiverHouse has been the go-to spot on the tranquil shores of Deas, with an expansive heated patio that’s ideal for soaking in a Fraser sunset. Order a seafood club or Sunday’s prime rib and settle in for a view filled with boats, eagles, and one of those sunsets that makes you forget you’re only twenty minutes from the highway.
Vibe: Waterfront, family-owned, date-night sunsets.
3. Four Winds Beach House & Brewery – Southlands, Tsawwassen
Four Winds started as a Ladner brewery back in 2013, and their newest location, Four Winds BeachHouse & Brewery is a destination in itself: an 8,600-square-foot brew hall in the Southlands “agri-hood,” a short stroll from Centennial Beach or the Barns to Beaches bike route. The sun-soaked patio seats 72, garage doors roll open to blend the indoor lounge with the outdoors, and the coastally inspired menu (cod burger, chowder, soft serve) pairs perfectly with beer brewed right here in Delta.
Vibe: Coastal, family-friendly, brewery-meets-beach-day.
4. Britannia Brewing Ladner Village – Ladner Village
Right in the heart of Ladner Village, Britannia’s backyard patio feels like showing up to a friend’s place for a long summer evening. It’s a proper local hangout with the vibe of a local pub. You’ll find a 20-stool bar inside, a big seasonal patio out back, and a happy hour (Monday to Friday, 2:30–5:30) that keeps regulars coming back. The fish and chips and the rotating small-batch ales are the draw, but honestly, the setting in the village core is half the appeal.
Vibe: Casual brewpub, village-centre, easy walk from Ladner’s boutiques and shops.
5. Pat Quinn’s Restaurant & Bar – Tsawwassen Springs
Set at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course, Pat Quinn’s patio is sectioned into several areas overlooking the fairways and a pond, with North Shore mountain views in the distance on a clear day. When the real summer stretches of heat hit, an extended patio is even set up right on the fairways to maximize open seats with gorgeous fairway views. The menu is global-with-local-ingredients – think seafood chowder and a well-loved beet salad – and it’s an easy pick for a relaxed lunch after nine holes, or just for the view even if you’ve never picked up a club.
Vibe: Golf-course green, airy, scenic sightlines.
6. Sharkey’s Seafood Bar & Grille – Ladner Wharf
Perched right on Ladner Harbour, Sharkey’s extended patio looks out over the docks, with fishing boats and the occasional bald eagle for company. It’s a proper local institution for seafood – think garlic steak bites, clam chowder, and panko-crusted fish and chips – and the patio often has live music going on weekends. Grab a table by the rail and watch the harbour traffic roll by; it’s about as Ladner as an afternoon gets.

7. Match Eatery & Public House – Cascades Delta Casino
At Cascades Casino on Highway 17A, Match brings Delta a proper neighbourhood-pub patio with the energy of a sports bar. Multi-season patio spaces mean you can catch the game outdoors nearly year-round, and the happy hour and comfort-food menu (think loaded burgers and dirty fries) make it an easy, unfussy stop. It’s less scenic than the waterfront spots, but it fills a real niche where Delta’s three communities meet in the middle.
Vibe: Sports-bar energy, casual, great happy hour.
8. Pat Quinn’s Restaurant & Bar – Tsawwassen Springs

Gracie’s is Tsawwassen’s spot for tapas, craft cocktails, and live music — the patio hosts local talent Friday and Saturday nights, and from time to time, Sunday brunch sets. The menu leans Mexican-and-seafood, with the halibut burger and seafood linguine as main standouts, but you’ll be remiss if you didn’t create a Gracie’s grazing shared table of local faves like Chicken Taquitos, taco platters, and Truffle Parmesan Cauliflower poppers. Deal seekers take note, plan your day around happy hour (3:30–5:00 pm) and settle in.

10. Night Owl Kitchen + Bar – North Delta
The newest name on this list: Night Owl took over the former Delta Lion Pub spot at 112th Street and 84th Avenue in spring 2026, and it’s quickly become North Delta’s fresh face for a night (or day) out. The concept is premium casual featuring elevated comfort food, “Owl Hour” drink and food specials, and a lively social atmosphere with pizza, wings, burgers, and pasta on the menu alongside brunch.
Vibe: Fresh and buzzy, elevated pub fare, North Delta’s newest hangout.
A Few Patio Tips for Visitors
- Book ahead for waterfront spots. RiverHouse and Sharkey’s patios are first-come, first-served, and fill up fast on sunny weekends.
- Bike the dykes between stops. Several of these patios (Barnside especially) are dyke-trail accessible, so you can turn your patio crawl into a proper Delta cycling day.
- Pair it with the outdoors. Four Winds and Gracie’s are both minutes from Centennial Beach, so it’s easy to combine a beach walk with dinner and a sunset.
