Your Guide to Farmers’ Markets in Delta, BC

Share

If there’s one thing Delta does incredibly well, it’s connecting people with local food. This summer, you’ve got three markets to explore across the three communities, plus the magic of Westham Island shopping Westham Island Herb Farm, Cropthorne Farms, and Emma Lea Farms, every single day.

Ladner Village Market ~ Celebrating 30 Years!

Sundays, 10am–4pm | 48th Avenue, Ladner Village

This is a big one – 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Ladner Village Market, one of the largest open-air markets in western Canada. With more than 180 artisan vendors at each market, the Ladner Village Market follows the “Make It, Bake It, Grow It, Raise It, Wild Harvest It” policy, meaning everything you pick up is genuinely handmade, homemade, or homegrown. Expect farm-fresh produce, locally raised meats, baked goods still warm from the oven, handcrafted goods, and live music drifting through the village streets.

2026 Market Dates:

  • June 7 & 21
  • July 5 & 19
  • August 9 & 23
  • September 6 & 20

Pro tip: Arrive early. The good stuff goes fast. Then wander the village after, grab a coffee, poke into the shops, and soak in the charm of historic Ladner.

Southlands Tsawwassen Farmers Market

Every other Saturday, 10am–3pm | 6313 Market Avenue, Tsawwassen

Set within the flourishing Southlands Grange Centre, this market is a community gathering spot in the truest sense. Surrounded by demonstration gardens and a community orchard, it’s a place where agriculture and neighbourhood life actually intersect. Local farmers, bakers, food vendors, and artisans set up in the open-air Market Square, with live music, a food truck or three, and good conversation.

2026 Market Dates:

  • May 23 – Season Opener & Art Show
  • June 6 – Bria Communities Seniors Day
  • June 20 – *NO MARKET*
  • July 4 & 18
  • August 1, 15 & 29
  • September 12 & 26
  • October 10 – Pie Bake Off
  • October 24 – Halloween at the Market
  • November 7 – Last Market of 2026

North Delta Farmers Market

Saturdays | North Delta Rec Centre, May 2026 onwards

The market has returned to the North Delta Recreation Centre with fresh local produce, handcrafted goods, food vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Farm Stands ~ No Weekend Warrior-ing Required

Once summer hits its stride, the farm stands of Westham Island come alive, bursting with fresh-picked produce, the smell of sun-warmed berries, and that easy, unhurried energy that only a working farm can offer.

Westham Island farms are so much more than a place to grab a basket of tomatoes or a bouquet of sunflowers. Most welcome you to slow right down, inviting you to let the kids loose in the fields, say hello to the animals, and simply be somewhere that feels a world away from the everyday.

📍 Emma Lea Farms | Westham Island. A family farm since 1885, the stand at 2727 Westham Island Road is open daily through the summer, stocked with u-pick and fresh-picked berries, local veggies, honey, jam, Okanagan fruit, flowers, and their own natural beef. The Ice Cream Shoppe is reason enough to make the drive. (Mini donkeys are a bonus.)

📍 Westham Island Herb Farm | Westham Island. The Ellis family has been farming this land since 1916, and their herb and flower gardens are absolutely at their peak all summer long. Open May through October, drop in on a quiet weekday and you’ll likely have the place mostly to yourself.

📍 Cropthorne Farm | Westham Island. A certified organic family farm growing over 50 different crops on the fertile soils of Westham Island, from heirloom tomatoes and rainbow carrots to German potatoes, melons, and specialty greens you won’t find at a grocery store.

📍Schoolhouse Farms | East Ladner. A sanctuary for health, wellness, community, and pollinators, Schoolhouse Farm is a regenerative natural farm on 60th Avenue with a loyal local following. The farm store is open Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, stocked with freshly harvested goods and curated products they genuinely love.

📍Vandula Farms | North Delta. What started as a little roadside stand on the highway has grown into something truly special. Vandula Farms on Ladner Trunk Road is one of those places that’s genuinely hard to leave. Seeds, succulents, plants, gardening supplies, and decor, plus a full-fledged market filled with fruits, vegetables, and BC-made products – it’s become a destination for locals and visitors alike

📍Didar Berry Farm | North Delta. Founded in 2005 on the mineral-rich soils of Burns Bog, Didar Berry Farm grows some of the finest blueberries in the Lower Mainland. Look for the big red barn on 104th Street, grab a freshly packed box, or pick your own straight off the plant. Simple, honest, and absolutely delicious.

Whether you’re stocking up on a Sunday, swinging by mid-week on a whim, or just following the smell of fresh strawberries ~ in Delta, farm-fresh is never more than a short drive away.
